'The 2017 Chablis Blanchots Grand Cru is already very compelling on the nose: mineral, smoke, melted beeswax and pressed flowers all vying for attention. The palate is beautifully balanced with a lightly spiced entry, crisp and taut from the start with a touch of nutmeg, walnut and orange rind towards the persistent finish. This is showing beautifully – a regal, blue-blooded yet quite intellectual Chablis.'
