Francois Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre 2007 Magnum
Tasting Note
'The magnum format is in evidence as this is even fresher than a 750 ml bottle taste three years earlier with its mature but elegant, pure and cool nose that could be from nowhere else but Chablis with its notes of oyster shell, quinine, citrus and iodine nuances. There is excellent drive and delineation to the intensely mineral-driven flavors that possess good if not special density, all wrapped in a long, balanced and attractively dry finale. For my taste this has reached its peak even in this large format though it is so vibrant and fresh that it should have no difficulty holding for another decade, perhaps even a bit longer. A superb '07 Chablis.'
