Arlaud Clos St Denis 2008
Note: Stained labels
Tasting Note
'Good deep red with ruby highlights. Very ripe, almost liqueur-like aromas of raspberry and wild herbs. A step up in texture and concentration from the Clos de la Roche and Charmes; in fact, this is quite full for the year. There's a creamy old-viney quality here that accentuates the wine's inherent sweetness. The biggest and the longest of these 2008s to this point, and quite fresh on the aftertaste. Along with the Bonnes-Mares, this was vinified in new oak vats with 30% whole clusters and aged in 100% new barriques'
