'The 2004 Barolo Rocche dei Brovia reveals surprising depth, darkness and resonance for a wine from this site. Dark red cherry, plum, rose petal and mint flesh out in the glass, with silky, exceptionally polished tannins that hold all the elements in the right place.
Perfumed and hauntingly beautiful through to the finish, the 2004 is a succulent, deeply expressive Barolo with more than enough vibrancy to drink well for another 15-20 years.
Although it is still a baby, the 2004 is just about to enter the early part of what appears to be a plateau of superb drinking that will stretch out for many years.'
