'The old vine Gevrey villages bottling is truly exceptional in 2020 from Monsieur Bachelet. The bouquet is simply fabulous already, soaring from the glass in a blaze of black cherries, sweet dark berries, grilled meats, dark chocolate, woodsmoke, black minerality, a touch of new oak and an exotic topnote of anise. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and gorgeously sappy at the core, with a seamless structure, great soil signature, ripe, fine-grained tannins and a long, tangy and perfectly balanced finish. Stunning juice for an old vine villages bottling!'
