Dujac Charmes Chambertin 2000
Tasting Note
'The changes that the domaine has made in the Charmes vineyard have ratcheted up the quality of this grand cru markedly, and the 2000 is a very worthy follow-up to the stellar 1999. The nose is deep and quite black fruity, offering up notes of black cherries, plums, bitter chocolate, herb tones, woodsmoke, a bit of gripped meats, and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and lush on the attack, with excellent framing acidity, ripe tannins, and superb length and grip on the finish. This is now clearly a wine to buy in every vintage chez Dujac.'
