Duroche Gevery Chambertin Aux Etelois 2017
Tasting Note
'Note the order of tasting – this village wine is served after 1er Cru Champeaux. Two barrels have been made from the top section which sticks up like a finger into Griotte-Chambertin, planted in 1923 and yielding just 15 hl/ha in 2017 thanks to tiny berries. Very intense black purple colour and the nose also gives this feeling of density. Huge intensity of vibrant dark red fruit, just as much acidity as the others – in fact it is just a bit more large scale in dry extract, fruit content and acidity.'
