Jean-Pierre Guyon Clos Vougeot 2017
Tasting Note
'The 2017 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru has a more intense nose than Berthaut-Gerbet's, offering black cherry, briar, smoke and crushed stone aromas with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, plenty of black cherry and blueberry fruit, fine volume and a touch of white pepper toward the finish. This actually grows in the glass. It might be too modern in style for those seeking traditional Pinot Noir, but I love it. Proper Grand Cru. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting'
