'Glowing purple, with a succulent dark red fruit nose, with raspberry in the lead. Oak tannins are evident but otherwise it is a fruit:acid balance here, with a superb explosion of fruit at the end. Not over the top because the more savoury style of Gevrey-Chambertin maintains the wine in balance.'
