'A relatively perfumed mix features notes of cool red and dark currant, pungent newly turned earth, spice and a whisper of violet. There is very good volume to the medium-bodied flavors and especially so in the context of what is typical for 2017, all wrapped in a delicious, palate coating and sneaky long finish where the only nit of consequence is a touch of warmth. This is a very impressive Nuits villages.'
