'At 25 years old, the Clos des 60 Ouvrées 1993 still has a good bright colour, though browning a touch at the rim. The bouquet suggests a lighter wine than some, and the aromatics display a greener edge – but this may be from the inclusion of some stems because the fractionally herbaceous note very soon harmonises to deliver a sensual accord with a delicious fresh appeal. Perhaps not for everybody, but to my palate this is a delicious wine which is probably at its peak.'
