Armand Rousseau Chambertin Clos de Beze 2007
Tasting Note
'Bright, deep red. Explosive aromas of blueberry, boysenberry, rose petal and violet are lifted by pungent spices. Silky-sweet on entry, with more obvious volume but perhaps less complexity than the Chambertin. Where the Chambertin expands toward the back, this one is broadest on entry and then narrows a bit on the finish, with serious, oak-powered tannins currently cutting off the fruit. I find this quite dry and classic, and less exotic at this stage than many past vintages of this wine.'
