Beaujolais
Beaujolais has been misunderstood for decades, its reputation shaped by Nouveau rather than by the ten named Crus of the granite north; Moulin-à-Vent, Morgon, Fleurie, Chénas and their peers, where Gamay achieves something altogether more serious. At their best, and in the right vintage, these wines reward cellaring in a way that surprises even experienced collectors.
We seek out growers who treat their old vines with the same respect a Burgundian vigneron would bring to a Premier Cru, and who are as willing to let a wine age as they are to release it. Beaujolais at this level is one of fine wine's best-kept secrets.
