'Deep damson purple, this is quite powerfully reductive, but that does not interfere with the hugely seductive weight of fruit on the palate that easily shrugs off the reduction. This village Morey St-Denis of an astonishing quality, with such intensity and freshness. Extraordinary. I cannot remember a Morey of this quality here (or indeed anywhere else).'
