'The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaut Saint-Jacques 1er Cru has a fresh nose with red berry fruit, pine and light cedar scents that gain intensity in the glass, delivering subtle Earl Grey scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and gentle grip with a pleasing edginess on the refined finish. Maybe more earlier drinking compared to other cuvées.'
