Fourrier Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Clos St Jacques Cuvee Centenaire 2010 (OCC/3)
Tasting Note
'The 2010 Cuvée Centennaire is even a tad more reserved in profile than the regular bottling of Clos St. Jacques, but also deeper and potentially more profound. The beautiful nose wafts from the glass in a blend of red and black cherries, blood orange, a touch of grilled meat, a hint of nutskins, roses, beautifully complex soil tones and a bit of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and again, very suave and pure on the attack, with excellent transparency, a very sappy core of fruit, plenty of ripe tannin and outstanding length and grip on the focused and very pure finish. It will be very interesting to track this bottling versus the regular Clos St. Jacques. Both wines are stellar in 2010.'
