Francois Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre 2023 (OCC/6)
Tasting Note
'The 2011 Montée de Tonnerre was a bit reduced at the time of my visit, but with a little swirling in the glass, its exceptional quality became quite apparent. This young and stunning wine offers up a superb bouquet of apple, lemon, a touch of sweet grapefruit, crystalline minerality, spring flowers and a gentle topnote of beeswax. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very soil-driven, with a racy personality, excellent mid-palate concentration, excellent focus and balance and simply superb backend cut and energy on the long and youthful finish. Great juice.'
