Jean-Claude Bachelet Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Blanchots Dessus 2011 Magnum
Tasting Note
'A subtle if not invisible touch of wood frames the layered mix of citrus, white peach, apricot and mango scents where a background note of petrol lingers. There is a wonderfully seductive texture to the intense, powerful and broad-shouldered flavors that possess impressive scale and and plenty of concentration on the overtly muscular finish. Though this is not especially refined, I very much like the depth and persistence and for my taste this has largely peaked though it should easily be capable of holding for another decade. In sum, this is a really impressive effort. Tasted twice (once in 2015 and again in 2019) with consistent notes.'
