Tasting Note
'The 2015 vintage of Clos de la Maréchale is an excellent wine in the making. The youthful nose delivers scents of black cherries, sweet dark berries, chicory, woodsmoke, dark soil tones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and properly chewy out of the blocks, with a rock solid core, good soil signature, ripe tannins and a long, vibrant and promising finish. One has to really admire from Monsieur Mugnier has done with this bottling in just over one decade after its return to the domaine’s fold!'
