Comte Liger-Belair Echezeaux 2010
Tasting Note
'The 2010 Echézeaux comes across as cool, inward and rather shy. It is a bit compact, but it is the wine's energy that stands out the most. This is an Echézeaux that puts delicacy and finesse above some of the more overt qualities of the site and year. Dark red berries, flowers and licorice are supported by fabulous energy on the finish. This deceptively medium-bodied wine is flat-out stunning. Liger-Belair's parcels in Echézeaux are in Cruots (on the Vosne side, two thirds) and Champs Traversin (one third). The vines were planted in 1921 and 1935.'
