Burgundy, located in the valleys and slopes west of the Saône River, a tributary of the Rhône, is celebrated for producing some of the world’s finest Grand Cru and Premier Cru wines.
Known for its deep focus on terroir, Burgundy boasts more AOCs than any other French wine region.
The region is divided into five main areas: Chablis, the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Chalonnais, Mâconnais.
