Beyond France, Baron Wines selects European wines by the same standard that governs our Burgundy catalogue: the finest producers, the most compelling terroirs, and wines that reward patience.

In Italy, our focus is Piedmont and Tuscany - Barolo and Barbaresco from the Langhe’s great estates, and Brunello di Montalcino from producers including Il Marroneto, whose Madonna delle Grazie cuvée has drawn some of the highest scores in Italian wine.

In Germany, we hold mature Riesling from the Mosel’s most celebrated estates, including Joh. Jos. Prüm, whose wines are capable of ageing 30–50 years in bottle, makes them as serious a proposition as any in our catalogue. Our Portugal selection focuses on Port from the finest Houses, and we also hold wines from Spain’s most serious Rioja and Priorat producers. Alsace, though geographically French, sits within this section of our shop: Grand Cru Riesling and Vendange Tardive wines from the Haut-Rhin’s finest estates, such as Trimbach and Zind-Humbrecht.
